![]() ![]() ![]() I also read the blog and back story for its creation from prototype to production. Thankfully, I came across this supply, which stood out if not only for it's red PCB, but also using a flyback transformer. Finally, I wanted it to look clean and elegant regardless of whether I ended up having the internals on display or not. ![]() I wanted it to be reliable and robust so I didn't have to worry about it, apart from the normal precautions of dealing with high voltage. I wanted a modular supply that I could drop into an Arduino based project. From various do-it-yourself layouts, to basic kits, and the relatively inexpensive boost converters, none of them seemed to fit what I was hoping for. I spent a considerable amount of time looking at options to power my nixie projects. From the compact, project friendly board layout, to the quality components and reliable output it really is an elegant piece of hardware. ![]()
